Eggplant Line Up
These quirky little eggplants really are a blast to work with. They remind me of the cherries with their colors and reflective surfaces, but they are a lot less serious.

Lunch Break
This painting is from a photo I took while still living in Southern California. This adorable dog was sitting with his owner waiting very patiently for it to be time to go. Neither of my dogs would ever be this well behaved in public!

Three Clementines
Having some more fun with the clementines before (maybe) moving on to something else. If you haven't noticed by now, blue is definitely one of my favorite colors to paint with, and I've yet to find something that I don't like against it. I know it's all personal taste, so hopefully there are other blue fans out there!

Just Cherries
After painting cherries with so many different bright accessories, I thought I'd give them a go all by themselves. I loved the pop they got against the blues I was using, so I wanted to try a different color scheme to see if I could be successful with something different. I think it might be time to move on from cherries, as my big bag has been polished off.

Three Strawberries
I gave myself one hour to complete this painting. Mostly because I wanted to focus on keeping it loose and not overworking. Sometimes I find myself overworking a painting, and then I have to go back and rework it how I should have done it in the first place. I was able to finish in time, and without re-doing any part of it!

The Blue Books
I found this beautiful stack of books at my local flea market and had to pick it up. I intended for them to be more of props for my still life paintings instead of the subject themselves, but I thought I should paint them a few times before unwrapping the bow. Just for fun, I'm putting this one in the Daily Paintworks auction.
