Vintage Bottles 5

This painting is also from my retreat weekend.  One of my scrapbooking friends had this awesome alphabet paper, and I thought it would be a perfect backdrop for my bottles.  And the key limes look so fun next to the burnt red.

Lemon Slices

This is another painting from my artist's retreat weekend.  I painted this one along with a friend, and it was so exciting and fun.  I wish I had a picture of her piece to show next to mine!

Tomatoes and Lime

The second painting from my retreat weekend.  It's been a while since I have painted a tomato, so I figured the subject needed some revisiting.  I tried to keep this one fun and fresh with loose brushstrokes.  I also love the little key lime hanging out with the "big kids."

Lemons in a Silver Bowl

I was away all weekend at an "artist's retreat" of sorts.  I had a blast with some great friends, and even got to paint with another artist for the first time ever.  What an awesome experience!  This weekend I finished five paintings, an embroidery project for a friend and even caught a fish.  It was definitely a productive weekend!

One Olive Martini

Sometimes when you attempt a commission for someone, it ends up not being what they want.  It doesn't necessarily mean it was a bad painting, just that you and the client had two different visions.  With this one, I decided to start over again, and put this one up for sale, instead of trying to rework it.  I really like it and didn't want to end up ruining it!

Grapefruit Wedges

I think grapefruits might be my favorite cut up fruit to paint.  I know that seems specific, but I have painted a lot of cut fruit!
